Mobility-Controlled Flying Routers for Information Centric Networking

Abstract(in English) ICN (Information Centric Networking) performs routing control by name of contents, and it is expected as a communication platform for IoT, because names can be used not only for information retrieval but also for physical controls of devices. In this paper, we focus on "movement" of routing nodes by ICN, and consider a mobility-controllable router (FR: Flying Router), which has a capability of physical movement controlled by {em names} of ICN. Then, we propose RMICN (Router-Movable ICN) as networking to realize disjoint-networks communication with FRs. We also show mobility-controlled routers in which content retrieval time can be shorten in RMICN by computer simulation.
