Abstract(in English) A single-frequency retrodirective system with a beam pilot signal maintains the accurate reciprocity in the case of terrestrial microwave power transmission. All array antenna elements are required to radiate and absorb the pilot signal and microwave power in this system. Thus, an orthogonal dual-mode dielectric resonator antenna element is developed in this study. An isolation level exceeding 60 dB is experimentally measured between orthogonal ports of the fabricated antenna. The measurement results of the radiation pattern and cross polarization discrimination are also discussed.
