Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In cognitive radio networks, it is important for secondary users (SUs) to correctly detect whether the corresponding primary user (PU) uses its own wireless frequency channel. Collaborative spectrum sensing (CSS) among SUs can improve the PU detection probability compared with non-collaborative spectrum sensing, where each SU senses signal independently. In previous research, group formation of SUs for CSS in single-PU cognitive radio networks has been studied, however, it is often the case where more than one PU exists in network. In this paper, we propose group formation of SUs for CSS in multi-PU cognitive radio networks. Through simulation experiments with a two-PU scenario, we show that the proposed scheme can increase the number of SUs that can use PU’s channel, i.e., Winning SUs, compared with non-collaborative spectrum sensing. We also show that it can quickly achieve almost the maximum of total throughput of Winning SUs.
