A Communication Method for Wireless Body Area Networks Considering Human Movement

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a communication method for wireless body area networks (WBANs) considering human movement. WBANs consist of a hub and multiple sensor nodes. The hub periodically requests for each sensor node to transmit a sensed data. The proposed method reduces data-transmission failures and increase successful data transmissions. In the proposed method, detecting a start of consecutive data-transmission failures from a sensor node, the hub skips to transmit a data-transmission request. We implement the proposed method on Raspberry Pi and conduct some experiments. We show that the proposed method is effective to realize efficient data transmissions in WBANs.
