Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the research of the fifth-generation mobile communication system (5G) has been the hot topic to accommodate the increasing user traffic in the mobile network. In 5G, although higher frequency bands above 10 GHz are expected to be utilized for achieving wideband data communication, the clarification of MIMO channel characteristics in the bands is necessary for design and evaluation of the system. In this paper, we conducted MIMO channel measurements in the 11 GHz band in micro-cell, street micro-cell, and residential environments to clarify the issues. We estimated Specular Multipath Component (SMC) and Dense Multipath Component (DMC) propagation parameters from the measured data by RiMAX-based algorithm. The results showed that delay spreads and angular spreads of SMC paths tend to decrease as the frequency becomes higher. The decay time of the DMC was longer in the residential area owing to many interactive objects which cause the scattering of the radio wave. For future works, we plan to construct the higher frequency band MIMO channel model for outdoor environments.
