Abstract(in English) | In the communication specification of the fifth generation mobile system, it is considered that frequency sharing will be examined, where several radio systems are operated. In order to promote such frequency effective system, a spectrum sensing technology with high performance is required. The authors have investigated the feature detection scheme using Cyclic Prefix (CP) in the OFDM signal. In this report, we implement this scheme in a hardware and investigate it using Radio Frequency (RF) signal. First, we address the design scheme appropriate for parameters in the embedded system. Then, we measure the signal feature value of an OFDM signal with varying the input C/N (Carrier to Noise power ratio) and investigate the probability performance regarding the signal detection. As a result, it is clarified that there exists an improvement limitation of the detection performance, which is achieved by the average operation in the signal processing. Such degradation matter has not been encountered in the past computer software simulation. We also describe that the limitation is analytically determined by the sampling rate error between at transmit and receive sides. |
