Abstract(in English) | Crash Warning Application (CWA) in Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication by using IEEE802.11p is one of promising applications for smart society. High-speed cars and emergency vehicles are afraid to fail to meet CWA requirements because they must recognize other vehicles and be recognized by other vehicles in very far away. This occurs due to weak receiving signals by attenuation. This can be generally solved by relaying IEEE802.11p frames containing CWA information toward the destination. However, the relaying which yields additional frames may contribute to worsen frame congestion. To solve this problem, we propose an adaptive relay method using relay probability with which a frame is relayed. Although the appropriate values of the probability should be determined for a context of each vehicle, a good example method is shown for evaluating effectiveness of the proposal. The method which employs a function of distances of vehicles for the probability showed that the maximum allowed number of terminals for CWA could be 1.6 times as much as that without relay. |
