Abstract(in English) | To improve the reproduction quality of 22.2 multichannel sound in noisy environment, we propose a method to compensate the 22.2 ch audio signal considering the relationship between the audio signal and noise. The proposed method relieves the effect of auditory masking due to the noise based on the calculation of the amount of auditory masking in every frequency band. The effect of superposition of reproduced sounds from plural loudspeakers was also examined and we proposed a method to adjust the amount of compensation in accordance with the inter-channel correlation to keep the balance of sound sources. We carried out the subjective evaluation focusing on the audibility of the dialogue, and the obtained results proved that the proposed method effectively improves the audibility of dialogue in the noisy enviornment. |
