Abstract(in English) For mobile edge computing, congestion avoidance can be achieved by distributing the workloads across multiple base stations (BS), more specifically, conducting a server migration from a congested BS to a less congested one. However, when the distance of a user terminal and the new BS is large, the performance could be unsatisfactory. In order to solve this problem, we propose an approach where a wireless LAN access point (AP) is employed as an edge, and a multi-hop communication is utilized between the user terminal and the AP. We evaluate the multi-hop approach in terms of throughput improvement and delay reduction.
