Performance Evaluation Depends on Availability of Connection to Access Points on Wireless LAN Positioning System

Abstract(in English) This paper evaluates smartphone positioning performance using wireless LAN. We particularly focus on connection/unconnection to access points (AP).The experiments performed are as follows:Investigation of the influence on the availability of connection to the AP at survey and estimate data acquisition in Scene Analysis on positioning performance,Investigation of the influence of the difference in attribute of AP and the availability of connection to AP on positioning performance,From the result of these performance evaluations, we show that a difference occurs in the positioning performance because of the availability to connection to AP.We examine the improvement technique in view of the result of performance evaluations and the use of systems such as real LBS(Location Based Services)From the above, even when connecting to an AP when using a system such as LBS,We have found the possibility of obtaining the same position identification performance as unconnected.
