Abstract(in English) | In the fifth generation cellular system, use of 28 GHz band is discussed as new radio frequency. Since the band is also allocated to the satellite system which is now being operated, their mutual interference will be an important study issue. In the report, we deal with the interference in the satellite uplink from the cellular system. Considering the communication specifications of both systems, it is thought that the interference from the cellular system will not be harmful. On the other hand, if it is required that even small interference is monitored, an interference measuring scheme with high sensitivity is needed. The authors have investigated the feature detection scheme using Cyclic Prefix (CP) in the OFDM signal. Herein, such scheme is applied to the measuring method to estimate the power ratio of the satellite signal to cellular signal. The satellite system under discussion is the 3.2 Gbps transmission using the WINDS (Wideband InterNetworking engineering test and Demonstration Satellite), whose signal has CP element. The specifications of the cellular system is supposed based on the presently operating LTE system. From simulation results, it is concluded that power ratio of 40 dB can be measured with high accuracy, in such supposed model that both signals have CP elements. Furthermore, in the detection of cellular signal, it is clarified that the satellite signal can be treated like as thermal noise, where the satellite signal affects as interfering sources. |
