Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Satellite communication are attracted as means for responding to needs in airspace and marine broadband environment and as a substitute means for terrestrial communication at the time of disaster. High Throughput Satellite (HTS), which has large communication capacity, is being developed to meet the rising demand for satellite communication system in mobile communication. However, HTS adopts static frequency assignment for multibeam, hence it is difficult to effectively utilize frequency resources in environment where demand for each beam of satellite communication is variable. Therefore, the function necessary in next-generation HTS is flexibility to maintain system performance high by flexible assignment of frequency corresponding to communication needs. Currently, there is no evaluation method to measure the flexibility of satellite communication systems. Therefore, in this study, we propose the evaluation model to measure the flexibility of satellite communication systems. Furthermore, we analyze the influence of constitution of satellite communication system such as allotment of frequency bandwidth per beam and total processing bandwidth of the system influence on the flexibility of the system.
