Abstract(in English) To address the trend of rapid increase in data traffic of mobile communication network, the future mobile communications systems (5G), which enables data transmission rate as high as 10 Gbps has been the focus of studies recently. To transmit data with very high bit rate, wider bandwidth channels are required. One approach is using high frequency bands: High-SHF (over 6 GHz) and EHF (mainly 30 - 100 GHz). Because of high path losses of high frequency bands, these bands are considered to use for small cells. To design radio links with high accuracy, the channel characteristics such as path loss, delay spread, angle spread etc. at High-SHF and EHF bands, must be clarified. In this paper, we measure and present channel characteristics in an outdoor small cell environment at the 20 GHz band. Cluster characteristics using K-power-means method are also reported.
