The study of the door catching detection utilizing acoustic responses of an elastic tube

Abstract(in English) Current “door catching detection” system has a problem that it can’t detect small artifacts and which had caused several serious incidents. A new design of sensor utilizing acoustic wave is proposed in this report to detect door catching. And then, the principal and performance of the designed sensor are discussed in this report. Signal sources are put on the both edges of the plastic tube to ensure that the experimental system is under work. The length of the tube is set as 2200 mm and load which make the tube deformed 1 mm at range of 100 ~ 2100 mm can be detected.
