Relationship between optical fiber outer diameter distribution and attenuation of Fiber-PC type connector

Abstract(in English) Single-mode optical connectors attenuation depend on fiber core offset. We need criteria of fiber offset distribution for ferrule-less connector which use minute holes for alignment fibers to consider attenuation distribution. We clarified the relationship between attenuation and fiber outer diameter distribution of ferrule-less type PC connectors based on the Monte-Carlo simulation technique.
