Cavity Resonator Wireless Power Transfer to Sensors in an Enclosed Space with Scatterers

Abstract(in English) In this study, we investigate the Cavity Resonator wireless power transfer in an enclosed space with scatterers. First, we confirm that the constructed experimental model is working as a cavity resonator. Next, we calculate the maximum power transmission efficiency using a model which is placed inside the scatterers by installing a Rx at the line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) position in the Tx. As a result, the expected transmission efficiency of more than 30% in the NLOS position from Tx, is clarified. Then, we investigate the feeding method at several positions, and it is confirmed that Time Division Power Feeding is a appropriate method. Finally, we experiment with power transmission to drive a battery-less sensor in the experimental model. We confirm that simultaneous communication can be performed with driving of the battery-less sensor module by CR WPT.
