Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, synchronized display methods of input strings and emotional expressions and motions are developed in the typing-driven embodied entrainment character chat system. These methods display ‘ · ’ for users’ typing awareness while users input strings. In general Japanese typing methods, users need to select a suitable word from some homographs list including hiragana or kanji, and decide the final outgoing message. Computer-generated (CG) characters in this system perform both the communicative motions based on typing rhythms and the corresponding motions based on input strings as soon as users select the intended word.
