[Invited Talk] Comparison of Software productivity across Countries by Analyzing International Benchmark Data

Abstract(in English) The productivity of software projects in various countries was compared by analyzing the ISBSG data well known as the international benchmark data. Analysis was performed by breaking down the data in terms of development type, industry sectors, and the pattern of development phases to improve the accuracy of analysis results. Analysis results show the productivity of software projects in Finland is generally higher than those of other countries. The Japanese software productivity is in average among the countries analyzed. It is also shown the software productivity of manufacturing or communication system is higher than that of banking or insurance system for every countries.
