Design of IIR Filters Changing Desired Frequency Response

Abstract(in English) In this paper, a design method for IIR (Infinite Impulse Response) filters is studied.A lot of local minimums exit in the design problem of IIR filters.Furthermore, a design error can not be expressed by explicit form of design parameters under the mini-max criterion.In this study, PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) is used for enumerating a lot of local solutions.Then, the desired frequency response is changed to avoid the local minimum stagnation.Several design examples are shown to present the effectiveness of the proposed method.
