Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Microbubble assisted low voltage low frequency solution plasma (MLSP) methods have many advantages such as the synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles with a diameter of several nm at low power consumption and low cost. We reported that the carbon-supported platinum nanoparticles with a diameter of about 4 nm were synthesized by the MLSP method. In this report, we describe the preparation of metal oxide supported Pt nanoparticles by MLSP methods. Pt nanoparticles were dispersed uniformly with a diameter of about 3 nm onto the indium tin oxide (ITO) or with a diameter of about 6 nm onto TiO2. The photocatalytic activity of the Pt/TiO2 was examined in the presence of EDTA as a sacrificial electron donor in order to evaluate H2 production. The amount of H2 using 1.36 wt% Pt/TiO2 synthesized by the MLSP method was about four times as large as that using 1.36 wt% Pt/TiO2 synthesized by a photodeposition method. |
