A Study on Efficient Packet Demodulation of Frameless ALOHA

Abstract(in English) Generalized tree-structured expectation propagation (GTEP) decoder for low-density parity check codes over binary erasure channels has been proposed, which achieves the performance of maximum likelihood decoding. In this paper, we focus on an efficient random access protocol, namely frameless ALOHA, and study an application of GTEP algorithm. Specifically, our proposed detector based on GTEP utilizes multiple received signals to efficiently cancel multiple interference signals in order to retrieve every transmitted packets. Numerical results reveal the performance gain obtained by the GTEP algorithm. We further discuss a practical problem on introducing GTEP algorithm into frameless ALOHA.
