Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As an efficient multi-input multi-output (MIMO) detection, a belief propagation (BP) has been actively studied. BP-based MIMO detection can efficiently estimate transmitted signals by passing messages (beliefs) on a factor graph defined by MIMO channel matrix. Because of existence of many loops in factor graph, its detection performance is even worse than maximum-likelihood detection (MLD) and exhibits the error floor. QR-decomposed generalized BP (QR-GBP) enables to calculate nearly-exact marginal probabilities on a valid region graph consisting of sets of multiple nodes in a factor graph. However, its computational complexity increases exponentially as the number of antennas and/or modulation level. In this paper, we apply stochastic approach to message-updates of QR-GBP to reduce its computational complexity. Numerical results show that our proposed MIMO detection based on QR-decomposed stochastic GBP (QR-SGBP) can achieve the same performance with QR-GBP while reducing the complexity.
