Evaluation of Unintended electromagnetic radiation from Myoelectric Artificial Hand

Abstract(in English) At this moment, there are no limits nor methods of the emission measurements for wearable electronic and robotic equipment to hold highly technology-mixed configuration, such as myoelectric artificial hands. To accelerate the study for the standardization of the limits and methods of the emission measurements in this field, Wearable Subcommittee Meeting of UEC Gigabit Research Consortium evaluates and discusses the emission from the myoelectric artificial hands. This paper describes the preliminary experiment to investigate maximum radiated emissions under a couple of conditions, and the results of the radiated emissions evaluated according to CISPR Publication, under the condition of continuous movement, i.e. open the hand and clench the fist alternatively, in which the maximum radiated emissions were observed in the preliminary experiment.
