Performance of L1 regularized channel estimation techniques using information criteria

Abstract(in English) Most $ell1$ regularized channel estimation techniques assume that degree of sparsity (DoS) is known. The variance of channel parameters is, at least, required to determine the DoS. For channel estimation techniques, however, the channel parameters are the parameters to be estimated. Hence, we may utilize information criteria of possible channel estimates to determine the DoS indirectly. This paper reports, via computer simulation results, performance of $ell1$ regularized MMSE channel estimation algorithms using Bayesian information criterion (BIC) and Akaike information criterion (AIC).
