Abstract(in English) | Rare-earth 4f orbital forms atomic-like discrete energy levels and ideally shows long coherence time with degree of the milliseconds in solid-state host materials. Therefore, these are expected as a platform of the quantum coherent manipulation. Performance of this quantum manipulation, however, is limited by dephasing time which is induced by various interactions in the host crystal and shortens in less than microsecond. From this context, we aim to high efficient quantum manipulation in rare-earth ions with long coherence time by purification of rare-earth ions, removal of magnetic moment from the host crystal and application of photonic-crystal structures for controlling optical field. In this paper, as one of those, we report effect of isotope separation of rare-earth ions on the dephasing time. |
