Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ultrasonic distance measurement with pulse-echo is based on determination of the time of flight of ultrasonic pulses. In addition, a measuring method of moving object by transmitting a pair of LPM (Linear-period-modulated) signal has been proposed. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional position and velocity can be measured by using multiple microphones. However, when multiple objects are measured at the same time, sometimes ambiguity occurs in the localization due to appearance of the artifacts. Interference of the echoes causes ambiguity of the one-dimensional distance and velocity measurement by each microphone, and certain of positional relationships of the objects generates the artifacts in the two-dimensional position and velocity measurement. As the countermeasure for ambiguity of measurement, a measurement method using two types of LPM signals (ex. up chirp and down chirp) and tracking method of multiple moving objects have been proposed. In this paper, the effects of these two methods on localization are evaluated by simulation and experiment of ultrasonic position and velocity measurement.
