Surface dynamics in collision of microdroplets fully covered with surfactant

Abstract(in English) When two flying microdroplets collide to each other, dynamic liquid process such as fusion or fabrication of capsule structure will occur. In these unification process, the surface area is reduced, where some unique phenomena concerning the excess adsorption would be expected; the collision of microdroplets with surfactant on the surface may show drastic change in the surface tension of liquid. In this work, we measured the surface tension just after the collision of two flying droplets of SDS aq. with our original measurement system observing the variation of surface tension in the range 400μs after collision, and discussed the dynamics of the molecular adsorption.
