Abstract(in English) A wave absorber using frequency selective surface with out-of-band transmission characteristics has been proposed. The absorber needs thickness of around quarter wavelength and has low frequency selectivity. In this report, out-of-band transmission operation of a thin circular patch array absorber using frequency selective surfaces is discussed. The absorber shows characteristics of absorber at the operation frequency, and has the out-of-band transmission characteristics. Two matching pole can be designed by using band stop and pass frequency selective surfaces.
