[Invited Lecture] Molecular Design of Functional Porphyrin Ensembles

Abstract(in English) Porphyrin with a “gable” orientation such as “special pair ” in photosynthetic reaction center plays an important role. The orientation and assembly of multi porphyrin rings really found in the cytochrome associated with the active site of a structurally characterized photosynthetic center. A series of functional porphyrin ensembles, thus serve as interesting example of an artificial allosteric system, have been self-assembled using kinetically labile noncovalent bonds. A supramolecular assembly of functional porphyrins thus brings out as interesting models in electron and energy transfer studies.
