Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We have studied the human physiological change in the exposure of the extremely low frequency (ELF) electric field. In this study, the change in the human peripheral blood flow in the field exposure has been found. To elucidate the mechanism of this phenomenon, we investigated the possibility of the blood property change in experiments. First, we exposed an electric field to a human subject, then examined the aggregation of the red blood cells (RBC’s) in the blood sample under a microscope. It was found that the aggregability of the RBC’s increased due to the field exposure. In the analysis of the dose-response, the aggregability was found to be strongly dependent on the magnitude of the applied electric field. To investigate this mechanism further, we exposed an electric field directly to the blood itself on the slide glass under a microscope. The similar change in the aggregability was observed as in the case of the human body exposure. Through these analyses, the following possibilities were confirmed. The property change of the blood can be one of the causes of the blood flow change in the field exposure. This change can be caused by not only the physiological change in the human body but also the physical change of the blood itself in electric field exposure. |
