Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In our previous work, we have shown that on Twitter, the frequency of retweeting between users in the same community is higher than that between users in different communities. We have also shown that the expected size of cascade of a tweet spreading among different communities is higher than a tweet spreading within a single community. Our previous work assumes that each user belongs to a single community. In contrast, this work assumes that each user may belong to multiple communities. We analyze the effects of community overlaps between users on information diffusion among the users. Our results suggest that as the degree of community overlaps between two users increases, the frequency of retweeting between the users increases. Our results also suggest that when a tweet is retweeted by a user and the degree of community overlaps between the user and the tweet publisher is low, then the expected number of future retweets of the tweet tends to be high.
