Effect on Thrusts from Pressure Distribution Fluctuations of Surface Acoustic Wave Motor

Abstract(in English) It's required for designing surface acoustic wave motor to comprehend a contact condition between slider and stator. We found thrust, speed, mechanical power, sliding loss, and frictional efficiency with a friction drive model. In the prior research, a numerical simulation was carried out in case of no pressure distribution on the surface of a slider. However, there are actually pressure distribution on the surface of a slider. In this research, we calculated the preload on slider surface by dynamic analysis using finite element method. We found thrust, speed, mechanical power, sliding loss, and frictional efficiency in case of pressure distribution on the surface of a slider. The result shows that pressure distribution depress frictional efficiency.
