Study on position estimation method by using unbalanced fed ultra low profile inverted L antennas

Abstract(in English) The position of the unbalanced fed ultra low profile inverted L antenna on a rectangular conducting plane located within free space is estimated. Three receiving antennas with same size as that of transmitting antenna are located around the transmitting antenna. The design frequency is 2.44 GHz. When the transmitting antenna is located on the z axis, the amplitude and phase of the received signal of the receiving antennas are approximated by a linear function of the distance between the transmitting and receiving antennas. Using this approximation, the position of the transmitting antenna located within xz plane is estimated.
