Abstract(in English) The application of Centralized Radio Access Network (C-RAN) architecture to mobile base stations enable the cooperation among them and improve the communication quality. Digitized radio-over-fiber (RoF) transmission technology currently used in optical access lines between baseband units (BBUs) and remote radio heads (RRHs) requires around 16 times higher capacity than that of the user data rate. As the result of that, the capacity of digitized RoF transmission line will be insufficient as mobile services increase their date rates. To solve the capacity problem, there have been many efforts to utilize analog RoF transmission technology which inherently has high transmission efficiency. However, to the best of our knowledge, there have been few reports on the feasibility for commercial systems. In this paper, we conduct analog RoF transmission experiments by using commercial LTE systems and deployed fibers.
