| Abstract(in English) | The generation of transmission zeros (TZs) at stopbands is indispensable for filtering antennas to obtain a sharp passband response. However, in conventional planar filtering antennas, TZs have been generated by undesired coupling between antenna and resonators owing to their miniaturization. Therefore it was difficult to realize TZs at predetermined frequencies in the design of conventional planar filtering antennas. In this paper, we propose a novel structure of planar filtering antenna with TZs that can be designed at specified frequencies using cross coupling between the antenna and the resonators. As an example, we design a fourth-order planar filtering antenna with 2.45-GHz center frequency and 5% bandwidth in passband, and two TZs located very near the passband, resulting in very high skirt selectivity. Finally, the validity of the proposed structure is verified by the comparison between the simulated and measured results. |
