[Invited Talk] Elastic Optical Path Control Methods for Highly-Reliable Optical Network

Abstract(in English) Elastic optical path control methods are proposed to enhance failure recovery performance. With the methods, additional backup paths are accommodated onto unused spectrum resources which are increased by quality-of-transmission-aware allocation of elastic optical paths. We confirmed improvement of the failure recovery performance on a Japanese backbone network model. We also report our standardization activities on the ITU-T Study Groups 15 regarding framework of disaster recovery managements including the proposed methods.
