Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The primary objective of this paper is to identify the impact of the source correlation on interleave division multiple access (IDMA) based multi-user detection (MUD) with soft successive interference cancellation (SSIC). The investigations over AWGN channel and frequency selective fading channel show that the IDMA system can achieve better bit error rate/ frame error rate (BER/FER) performance with higher source correlation via joint decoding process. Furthermore, a trade-off between rate-sum and performance gain is then analysed under the AWGN channel assumption through Slepian-Wolf (S-W) and MAC rate region, based on the sufficient condition of the problem of correlated sources transmitted over multiple access channel (MAC). This analysis shows that the equivalent rate-sum is lower with the higher source correlation and can help to flexibly allocate transmission rate in cooperative communication systems. |
