Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes Circular Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) constellation which achieves almost identical bit error rate (BER) performance level to that of Rectangular QAM in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel, while it achieves better BER performance compared to Rectangular QAM in the AWGN channel with time-varying phase noise. Computer simulation results show when using partial Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) code associated with collaborative decoding, the proposed Circular 1024QAM constellation improves the required received signal-to-noise power ratio (SNR) at the BER of 10-6 by approximately 0.2 – 0.5 dB compared to Rectangular 1024QAM in the AWGN channel with time-varying phase noise. |
