Abstract(in English) | In this paper, a design method of IIR (Infinite Impulse Response) filters that do not have excess ripple in a transition band using PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) is discussed. Many conventional design methods that decide the maximum pole radius in advance have been proposed to decrease the excess ripple in a transition band and ensure the stability. However, it was not discussed how to determine the appropriate pole radius. In theconventional methods, the maximum pole radius was determined based on the experience of the designer. Therefore, we introduce a new penalty function for the objective function and design IIR filters that do not have the excess ripple in a transition band without determining the maximum pole radius in advance. Some design results will be compared with the case that is specified the maximum pole radius in advance. |
