Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ultra wideband (UWB) transmission plays an important role to accomplish reliable and high-speed implant communications. However, an implant UWB communication link suffers from large attention, which should lead to communication performance degradation. In this paper, we focus on distributed beamforming to improve the reliability in implant UWB communications and propose an optimization method to determine the weight coefficients of the distributed beamforming. In order to evaluate the performance improvement by the proposed distributed beamforming, we first analyzed the propagation characteristics of the implant channel at UWB low-band (3.4-4.8GHz) by the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method with a numerical human model. Then, we conducted computer simulations based on the FDTD results, and the computer simulation results demonstrated that the proposed beamforming can improve the signal-to-noise power ratio (SNR) at receiver side.
