Abstract(in English) | One of promising applications for implant communications is wireless capsule endoscope.Wireless capsule endoscope usually employs 400 MHz band for communication. However, due to the limitation of frequency regulation in this band, it is difficult to achieve a high-speed transmission with a high reliability.We thus developed an impulse radio (IR) type wideband in-body transceiver at 10 - 60 MHz.The wideband feature realized a high data rate up to 10 Mbps, and the lower frequencies yield the less attenuation in human body compared to 400 MHz band. In this study, we attempted to develop an implant antenna capable of achieving the required band width for the in-body IR transceiver and investigated its performance through experimental evalution using liquid phantom. |
