Abstract(in English) | For the fifth generation mobile communication systems (5G), in order to increase overall system throughput, ultra-high-density distributed antenna systems have been studied. Resource scheduling controls radio transmission of all antennas in the system. The scheduling searches for the suitable combination of antennas and user equipment from a huge number of passible combinations within the limited scheduling period. In order to test more combinations, we devised a hardware acceleration technique that accelerates the scheduling process and reduces the processing time. Experimental measurement shows that the hardware acceleration technique performs the calculation of the system throughput 60 times faster than software-based processing. Furthermore, we devised a search technique for improving the combination. The search technique with the hardware acceleration technique can improve the system throughput by 13%. These techniques enable a future practical 5G system. |
