Abstract(in English) | We study an optical design of organic solar cells to enhance the photocurrent generation. In the proposed device, the hybrid antireflection structure, consisting of interference multi-layer and moth eye, is integrated with a high-refractive-index glass substrate. Using the optical simulation based on the characteristic matrix method, we found that the use of the high-refractive-index glass decreases the efficiency in the absence of antireflection, whereas the addition of high-refractive-index glass can significantly improve the efficiency in the presence of hybrid antireflection structure. This result means that it is important to adequately design the combination of the antireflection configuration and refractive index of glass. We also experimentally examined the photocurrent generation of the organic solar cell with the high-refractive index glass and found photocurrent enhancement by introducing the hybrid antireflection, similar to the simulation result. |
