Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to develop a method for automatic assessment of infant hip dysplasia by means of ultrasonography. Five texture features were obtained from 36 ultrasonograms of the infant hip. As the texture feature, we employed angular second moment, contrast, correlation, inverse difference moment and entropy. Ultrasonograms used in this study consist of 13 images of mature hip and 23 images of delay of ossification. The differences of the five features between the two groups were statistically significant, respectively (p < 0.05). The classification accuracy using support vector machine was approximately 83%.
