Abstract(in English) A system for terahertz remote spectroscopy based on time-domain spectroscopy and a hollow optical fiber for terahertz delivery is proposed. The transmission characteristics of the hollow optical fiber including the transmission mode properties and dispersion properties were firstly investigated by using time-domain spectroscopy. Then, by using the obtained results, an absorption spectroscopy of a pharmacological agent was performed by using the hollow-fiber based spectroscopy system. Focusing on the difference in refractive index in terahertz region of lipid and protein, a trial to differentiate these two components was performed by using the system. A clear difference in amplitude and phase was observed in the reflective wave from the samples attached on a silica plate and this could lead to imaging applications for breast cancer detection.
