| Abstract(in English) | Tumors in the thorax and abdomen move during respiration. The respiratory movement has always been a major concern in thoracic and abdominal radiotherapy. We proposed a novel respiratory-monitoring technique without contact of patient’s body by means of motion image analysis using web camera. Five motion images with different respiration rate were obtained from Resusci Anne simulator and healthy adult volunteer. Respiratory cycles were estimated from the motion images by the proposed method. Compared with a conventional infrared-marker tracking method, two respiratory cycles almost corresponded. |
