| Abstract(in English) | The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of brightness and vividness on color image by analyzing tone, and to unify brightness and vividness. Two methods were adapted in the study. First, we investigated the dimensions of the color image. Second, we measured the brightness and vividness of color. As a result, four factors were observed by factor analysis. The correlations were found between factor scores vs. brightness, and factor scores vs. vividness. Furthermore, brightness and vividness were unified, and was named as “Brilliantness”. The present study revealed that “Brilliantness” would express color image. |
