Abstract(in English) | A novel formation method of graphene was investigated. In this method, the pentacene (C22H14) with a condensed aromatic ring system was used as a source material. The pentacene molecules were decomposed on a heated W catalyst placed between a source boat and a substrate. The decomposed precursors were polymerized in vapor phase or on surface of substrate. The decomposition of pentacene occurred at catalyst temperature above 1300℃ in H2 atmosphere. The decomposed precursors were identified as dihydropentacene (C22H16). The properties of fabricated organic films were changed by the W mesh temperature and the distance between W catalyst and substrate. The graphene-based organic films such a peripentacene can be obtained by using W wire additionally. |
