Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this research, we propose a learning model of behavior selection based on curiosity and interest. Curiosity is aroused by the novelty of objects, causing exploratory actions on specific objects. The degree of novelty of an object is judged by the certainty that the object belongs to a class which has been formed in memory. The interest is aroused by the improvement of prediction accuracy of the behavior of object, causing specific exploratory actions on the objects. The results of simulation experiments showed that agents tended to select novel objects by curiosity, and interest was aroused by the objects that showed complex behavior.
