Abstract(in English) In RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) based 60 GHz band coverage detection scheme for 2.4/5/60GHz Multi-band WLAN, prediction error can be large in small rooms since relatively strong reflected waves of 2.4/5 GHz signals can exist in such environments and path loss can be different from free space loss. To solve this problem, the authors have been proposing learning-based 60 GHz band WLAN coverage detection method to improve 60 GHz band coverage detection accuracy by using the measured results of both 2.4/5 GHz and 60 GHz RSSI. This report describes performance evaluation of the proposed method using 5GHz band signal propagation measurement results in a large conference loom environment.
